The MDF® stainless-steel Trömner Hammer is a versatile 3-in-1 dual mallet-type reflex hammer with a third testing device at the base of the handle. It’s handcrafted and designed for eliciting myotatic and cutaneous responses in adult and pediatric patients.

Weighted Balance

The balance-weighted stainless-steel head of the MDF Tromner Hammer is outfitted with large and small mallets, constructed of soft silicone for precise percussions, less practitioner effort and greater patient comfort. The larger mallet is used for stretch reflexes, while the smaller mallet is used to elicit percussion myotonia.

Handling It

The weighted stainless-steel handle is precisely balanced for increased control of force for percussion. The handle is optimized for comfort and crafted for exact movements. The base of the handle, elicits superficial or cutaneous responses, including plantar and abdominal reflexes.

Locking System

MDF® has re-invented the original Babinski hammer by adding a patented Spring-loaded Locking System (SLS) to securely lock the articulating head into place while in use. Instead of having to unscrew the head, simply slide down the metal sleeve and flip the head. The sleeve will snap back into place.
